This uses the internet - a large collection of computers which are connected together to form world wide network. Any information stored on any one of those computers may be seen by any other computer in th form of a web page. A number of related pages forms a web site. Web sites are becoming more sophisticated so that they are interactive in that users are able to search for a particular page of interest and/or interact with the web site to add information.
Facebook
This is a website that allows a group of friends to easily communicate with each other. Hence any information entered, whether it is text, pictures or videos, is only entered once but can been seen by all your friends, a great way of keeping up with what everybody is doing, providing they make the entries.

Twitter
Twitter is similar to facebook in that it connects a large number of people together so that information entered by one is seen by all. The difference is that only short text messages, called tweets, are allowed, less than 140 characters and they can be seen by anyone who follows your entries
