The Holiday Club - ' Seaside Rock'

At Trinity

The Holiday Club -' Seaside Rock' was very successful and enjoyable. Rev Andrea and all helpers had a good time with the children - nwnbers attending went up as the week progressed from 26 to 32 plus two teenage helpers. Mothers, a few dads and grandmas seemed very pleased with how things had gone and how much the children enjoyed themselves. I don't know where they would put all the things the children had made during the week! At our AA W Sunday morning service, 'Seaside Rock' was brought to completion with the last part of the drama.

The drama was based on the parable of the foolish and wise men. The foolish man built on sand and his building was washed away when the storms came. Our builders, Phil and Chris, built on sand and when Postman Pete sat inside the Golden Palace he leant against a wall and we saw it all collapsing as it had no strong foundations. The wise man built on a rock foundation which withstood all the bad weather conditions. Life is like that, we need a strong foundation. Jesus is that rock, and He is alive today and wants us to follow Him.

A big thank you to all mums, dads and grandmas who brought their children along - they were very well behaved with the big ones helping the little ones - to Andrea for all the time and effort she always puts in and all our helpers, including Jennifer from Ticknall. Everyone had a great time, a bit tiring for a few of US, but well worth it!
